The son of Peruvian immigrants, Mr. Milla was born in Washington, D.C. He is proud to provide legal representation to the Hispanic community, and is a current member of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association, the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association, and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.
With over 20 years of experience in Washington County, attorney Steve Milla has built a venerable reputation and practice based on an honest, straight forward, and dedicated approach. He has helped hundreds of families recover lost wages, pay medical bills, and receive compensation for the pain and suffering of injuries and accidents. In 2011, in recognition of his legal expertise, Governor Kitzhaber honored Mr. Milla with a judicial appointment to the Washington County Circuit Court. Mr. Milla chose instead to remain at his private practice and continue legal service to his clients and community.
Mr. Milla received his law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1997. He began his legal career in Maryland representing the government of Montgomery County defending injury claims against county employees and officers. Later, Mr. Milla prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases for Montgomery County.
Mr. Milla came from Maryland to Oregon in 2003 to start a family in his wife’s home state. First, at a Portland firm, Mr. Milla defended injury claims for insurance companies. In 2004, he founded Milla & Associates with a focus on representing individuals in personal injury litigation throughout Oregon. In select cases, Mr. Milla also represents individuals in criminal defense cases.
